SOLD : Long Established Bespoke Shop Fittings Manufacturer Sells to New Owners

Dymond Engineering was established in 1981 by Colin and Alison Dymond and has grown to a £1m+ enterprise employing 15 people. The company designs and manufactures high quality shop fitting and point of sale display equipment, selling throughout The United Kingdom and abroad via shop fitting companies and also direct to end users who range from large multiple retailers to small fashion boutiques. Their continued success is due to the quality and reliability of their service and products, earning them a reputation for understanding the most complex challenges and providing innovative solutions for their clients.

After nearly 30 years Colin and Alison decided it was time to consider a change as part of their long-term retirement plan. To handle the sale of the business Colin chose to instruct specialist business transfer agency, Beardsley Theobalds of Exeter (01392 253071) to act for him. A national marketing campaign was conducted and the business was also advertised on their own and other industry web sites. The business attracted interest from right across The United Kingdom and from people within the shopfitting industry, engineering firms where there would be some synergy and also individuals where they had transferable skills such as marketing and sales experience.

The new owners are partners Mike Garner and Sue Roberts who are retaining Colin’s skills and knowledge within the business as he eases into retirement.

The purchasers were represented by Ashfords Solicitors and the Dymonds were represented by Steven Hudson, senior partner of Gard & Co in Plymouth.
